Gastein or Gasteiner Wildbad is in the Noric Alps, Austria. The waters are thermal. Temp. 106 to 118 Fah. They contain sulphate of soda, chloride of sodium, chloride of potassium, carbonate of soda, carbonate of lime, magnesia, manganese, iron, &c.

- An inorganic water-soluble platinum complex. After undergoing hydrolysis, it reacts DNA produce both intra interstrand crosslinks. These crosslinks appear to impair replication and transcription of DNA. The cytotoxicity cisplatin correlates with cellular arrest in G2 phase cell cycle.
